How Does a Stun Gun Work?

Stun Gun
The stun gun is a non-lethal self defense device which uses electricity as a means to incapacitate an attacker. The stun gun works by emitting an intense electrical charge through prongs on the end of the device. This charge momentarily short circuits the nervous system of the attacker, making it impossible to continue his attack and giving you an opportunity to put distance between you and him.
The stun gun can also be used as a deterrent by triggering the device before an attacker gets close to you. The sound and sight of the electrical discharge might cause him to flee.
Opponents of stun guns say it has one main draw-back. That is the fact that if you intend to incapacitate your attacker, you must be close enough to him to touch him with the device, before activating the trigger. For more information go to <link>
